Posted - 04/05/2003 : 3:06:42 PM This is just a kick around RPG, modern times, everyday life, I tried this on another site but it didn't fall over when i posted up the standard RPG rules. So yeah just a standard RPG rulings- I'm making Bio's optional this round.
The sun was just setting as Jace opened his screen door to the street. The heavy purfumes of summer were making time float by. Every action seemed to be part of a slow rythem, an easy rythem and time was frozen on that old fashioned street. He drank his beer out on the front porch as he lite some of the candles on the railing to keep the bugs away. He then settled into the swinging bench and pulled from his pocket a sheet of paper. Jace read frowning in thought, away from every one that was inside laughing and having fun.
Jace was 20, brown-blond hair that fell into his eyes that were a clear honest blue. He was the owner of this house in the getto. He took in other people, any one who needed a home stayed with him. Some times as many as four people stayed in the seven bedrooms he had in the entire house.
The house had been a treasure and pride of the people in this town till hard times came and some parts of town managed to get out of it, but the house Jace owned was not so lucky and fell into disrepair and now....
...and now....
The house was going to be torn down and the stray dogs would go back to looking for shelter. Jace rubbed his head. He had no where to go, none of the people in the house had no where to go.
"This isn't fair... If I had the money..." He looked at the notice again. "Even if I had the money I couldn't get them.. Our only choices are moving out, or fighting back..."
In the world of gang vs gang, and crime was a skill that was down to a style and sport, Jace's house had been a haven to everyone. |

Posted - 08/07/2004 : 8:49:21 PM Jace laid on the bed almost as lifeless as he had been found. Sleeping in a world of no more pain, no more hurt, he saw his lover before him. She smiled and shook her head, he couldn't see, he couldn't understand why she was telling him no. Gently she kissed him one more time and took him away from the real world to show him where he was needed most. His soul saw and followed without question.
She'll need your strenght and you'll need her in time to wash away your pain. What about us? In another time there would have been you and I forever. But this is not so, perhaps in that life she died. Now is her time to live and find love once more. Emily. No Jason. Don't join me. I'll be with you again one day...
A set of footsteps raced down the hallways, his heart beat faster and faster. Sweat was going down the sides of his face as he loaded his gun, ready to fire at will. In police uniform he felt like such a traitor, but it was the only way he could get to his friend without raising too much alarm. racing down the hall he skitted to a stop. There within the room he saw the three detectives and growled to himself, "You ****ers, you can't kill someone that had no life to begin with. Well time to work my magic."
Rushing in he burst in looking panicked and scared. "Help! We need some backup! We've got a man down in the parking lot! He's a suspected killer! My partner is down along with two others!"
Before the two could ask anything, he showed the two the blood on his hand. Without a question they felt like being the heros of the day. Racing out they left him along with Jason.
"You stupid git." The man said as Jason's eye's opened. "Dan." "Yeah, you're so stupid. But no fear, I'm here to save you from everything. It's what Emmy wanted." "You still hear her then."
Dan didn't look at Jace as he undid the handcuffs. "I hear her every night along with your screams, Jason. I hear you sobbing and I see you craddling her body like she might wake up any minute."
Jace tried to wake himself up as he was helped out of bed. "Yeah, tonight she and I talked. She told me she didn't want this for me either."
"You're going to move on?" "It's time to leave here."
The two moved onward out of the hospital unseen, it seemed with all the activity they weren't noticed at all. A car sat running as Dan strapped Jace in and took the driver's seat. Without a second to lose they raced off into the night.
"Aiko left. She's off to a new life, everyone is trying to get their act together. A girl named Sarah showed up... She said she knew you and she was willing to take care of everything... So you're leaving too?"
"Yes Dan, stop by the grave yard..."
Tanner stared at the gun that was somehow pointing away, uncomprehending as to exactly why she was still alive. With a gasped sniffle, she pulled her sleeve up over the heel of her free hand and wiped the moisture from her eyes before looking at the hand that was closed over the gun, pushing it away.
Jace sighed and leaned against her, using only her shoulder for support. Sweat trickled down the back of his neck as tried to catch his breath. It had amazed him that he could have been able to sprint to her without collasping.
"Don't... No more of this."
Looking to the stones in front of him, Jace tried to keep from falling. "There's been enough blood shed."
"Jace..." Her voice was soft. She looked back at the gun in her hand for a few seconds before smiling. It was a faint smile...barely worthy of notice. But it was a smile. She looked down, her hair curtaining her face for a moment before she tossed the golden eagle aside and wrapped her arms around Jace's waist, supporting him.
"Stupid, fool man..." She whispered. "You should be in bed!"
"I know." Looking over his shoulders he saw Dan leaning against the car. Looking back at Tanner he saw something behind her flicker with the sun's morning rays. Emily smiled and nodded. She sat on the swing hanging from a tree they had talked under in France so many months ago. Smiling to Tanner, he brushed away the remaining tears.
"So should you."
Tanner laughed softly and shook her head. "Have you ever had a nine year old brother? You never get to rest. I'm used to pushing it. You, on the other hand, are going straight to bed."
Wrapping his arm about her waist, he started to guide her to the car. "Come on, you're use to one child, I'm use to many. And I'm not going to any bed unless you're resting with me... Do we have a deal?"
"Deal." Tanner walked with him, slowly. "So...where are we going?" She shook her head. "I don't want to stay here. There are just too many memories."
Jace looked to the red sun and then to Tanner. "We're going to a place where people can do honest work, we're going to follow the biggest star of all, our sun." he said as he held her tightly for a moment. "There are places where we can start over, Tannner. Right now, I want to start over with you. You and I have alot of healing to do... Maybe in time your little brother will have an older one to look after him also..."
Tanner followed his gaze and smiled. "You know...I think that's the best news I've heard in about ten years." She slid into the car and looked out at him. "Let's go home."
Sliding in next to her, Jace kissed her. "Lets go home Tanner."
The sun rose on a new day as each took their own path. Wether or not they could rise above the rat race and achieve grace or go on to face a life of twists and turns; it would be up to themselves to go on and live. For Jace it had been a lesson of learning to live again, for the others, it might had been a second chance given. For what was learned would be up to them to use.
To each his own path.
For the door will never close. |

I walked to a familiar neighborhood in a run-down part of town. My hitlist had shrunk considerably in the past few days...but I couldn't return to the darkness without finishing everything. I was doing okay, all things considered...but the world tipped at various intervals, sending me stumbling.
I should feel sorry.
I don't.
I should be glad to be back.
I'm not.
Stumbling up onto a porch, I opened the door and lifted one golden eagle, pointing the barrel at the lock and pulling the trigger. The door swung inwards, and a scream echoed from within. I can imagine what I looked like...ragged and thin, stitches stretching from my hips to my neck. There he was...the bastard whose baby I had just lost. Standing there with his body protecting his baby sister. I met his eyes and lifted the gun, pointing it.
"Tanner...oh my god...please." He whispered.
"Send Mickey into the other room, Justin." I kept the gun steady, waiting. "She doesn't need to see this."
"Mickey...go look for a soda in the fridge." Justin gulped out.
A shot sounded.
~*Later*~
I walked into what used to be my house, one hand on the wall. Sweat was beading on my brow, and I couldn't quite focus my eyes, but I knew when my mother and father walked in to face me.
"Tanner...oh, Tanner honey!" I felt my mom approach and lifted my gun to point it. Leaning my back against the wall, I pulled my second Golden Eagle and pointed it at my father.
"Tanner...put the guns down and we can talk about this." I focused my eyes and looked at my parents, coldly.
"Where is Beau?"
"School, why..." My mom took a deep breath. "Tanner...look..."
"Shut up. I've arranged for a friend of mine and her hubby to take care of Beau." I said, quietly. "I've put it in this formal will that you two will now sign. It will deed him all rights to your property, to be sold and put into a trust fund that he will recieve upon registering for a college of his choice." I paused to catch my breath as they signed, hurriedly.
"Also, all money that you have saved up over the years will go in half to said-trust fund, and half to the joint funerals of the two of you." I carefully tucked the will into its official envelope and sealed it. "The Insurance collections will go to my friend and her hubby, enabling them to provide for Beau's every need as they see fit." I took a deep breath. It was almost time...almost...
"Tanner...I just want you to know..." My dad whispered. I shook my head.
"Don't. Stop trying to get out of it." I lifted the guns again and aimed.
I should feel remorse for these, the people who raised me.
I should hesitate...uncertain.
I don't.
The shots sounded.
~*Three o'clock in the afternoon*~
The nine year old with his sister's hair and eyes ran out of the school, clutching a note. He looked around eagerly before spotting the woman he was looking for...
I smiled when Beau ran up to me and threw his arms around me. I grunted softly before I grinned and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Beau...I've come to take you away like I promised."
"Really? What about Mom and Dad?" I shook my head.
"They won't be there...they'll never hurt you again." I kissed his cheek.
"What about you, Tanner?"
"I'll always be with you, Half-Pint...in here." I put a hand to his chest, over his heart. "I don't have long...so I'm going to take you away...and then we have to say goodbye."
I shouldn't feel anything now...
I do.
Tears cloud my eyes as I get into the back of the taxi, giving the driver the directions that he obeys without a word. I hand Beau his suitcase. "Here you go, Tiger..."
"I don't want you to leave me, Tanner." He whispers, clinging to me. I hug him tightly for a few seconds before pulling away and mussing his hair.
"Hey...don't worry about it, Tiger. Your big ol' sis will always be watching you. Honestly, can you picture me as the motherly type?" He giggled. "Go on, Bee. Say hi to everybody for me...okay?"
"Okay, Tanner." He started crying, reaching to cling to me.
I wrapped my arms around him again, shushing him gently. "Don't cry, Bee. We'll be together again."
He sniffled, "Promise?"
I shook just a bit with contained tears. "I promise. I love you, Bumble Bee."
"I love you too." He whispered, climbing out of the cab. "Bye, Tanner."
As the cab pulled away from the curb, I gave the cab driver the directions and then I choked softly on a sob, closing my eyes and letting the tears stream. He dropped me off at the cemetary, and I smiled and made my way through the headstones to several fresh-dug graves. Some were people I knew. Hell...some were people I'd liked.
I was still sobbing in earnest when I raised my golden eagle again.

And the shot sounded. |

I found myself back at the house after having searched hours while looking for Savannah. Frowning some, I then realized that everyone wasn’t at the house anymore. Well, realizing it wasn’t the right word. I remembered. I remembered them talking about going over to Tanner’s friend.. then recalled the fact that I had no idea where that was. Sighing softly, I walked up to the house, kicking the front door open. Guess I would check for clues then go searching some more. Fun.
I stepped inside the house and gazed around. Sure enough, it was completely empty, except the furniture that is. Room by room, I made my search until finally coming across a notepad. Leaning over to pick it up, I found nothing but drawings that one of the kid did. Frowning and shaking my head, I tossed the notepad back down, then picked it up again. I kept a hold of it while finishing my rounds downstairs. Sighing as I walked up the stairs, I glanced in each of the rooms before coming to the one I had been sleeping in. Tossing the pad on the bed, I walked over to the closet. Noting that it was already empty, I kneeled down on the floor. Reaching across the bare floor, I tapped a few times to find the hallow spot. Yanking up the carpet, I revealed a trap door and lifted it up, tossing it to the side.
“Heh... still here.” I grabbed my old raggedy backpack out of the hole, pulling it over my shoulders. Everything I owned was in there and I wasn’t about to leave it behind. I walked back to the bed, grabbed the notepad then walked downstairs and out of the house.
As I reached the sidewalk, the cell rang and strictly out of habit, I answered it. Grinning although the person on the other line couldn’t seem me, I ecstatic when I found out it was Jax. I walked as I talked to him and with his help, found the place everyone was staying. As I ran into the house, I wrapped my arms around his neck, the whispered that we needed to talk. Before dragging him out the door, I tossed the drawing pad to the kid it belonged to with a slight smile.
As we walked down the sidewalk, I slid my hand into his, blushing slightly at the movement. I started at the beginning, well from the moment I left him back at Jace’s place. I was like a whirlwind, telling him everything I did and he listened quietly, his face neutral, which wasn’t a good thing. It meant he wasn’t happy with me and deep down I knew I had disappointed him. However, after I was done talking, he wrapped me in his arms and bent down to kiss me softly on the lips.
“I love ya’ too, Kae” Jax said with a smile, his own face turning bright red. He hugged me again, then let out a sigh, which meant he had something to say. It was good, being able to read his thoughts.
“What’s the matter Jax? Let it all out. Tell me what you’re thinking.” I murmured into his ears softly and comfortingly.
Jax shook his head a moment, probably amazed I could still read his thoughts then spoke softly almost in a whisper. ”Kae, let’s leave. Let’s get out of this town and go somewhere else where we can start fresh and not have all these problems. I have enough cash and contacts to make it happen. Please say yes, I want to have a life with you, Kae.”
Blinking, I know my jaw dropped down to the ground. I couldn’t do anything but nod. It was what I wanted, a fresh life. One with the man I loved. I never thought it was possible, but standing there staring at him, I knew it was. Grinning. I let out a soft squeal then nodded. Jax in turn, grinned then ran back to the house to get the suitcase he hadn’t unpacked yet. I followed him to tell the others.
“Jax and I are leaving town. You’ll all be safe here, so don’t worry. If you see Savannah, tell her I said thanks and hope things get better for her. Tell Jace and everyone else we said bye..!”
With that, Jax and I left the house and headed first to his. I sat on the couch and watched him gather everything that he wanted to take with him, the rest he said he would leave for his buddies here. After he had everything he wanted, we caught a cab to the airport and boarded the first flight that would take us away. We were heading to New Zealand, which was fine with me. We probably wouldn’t end up living there, but maybe vacation there for a while. It didn’t matter. I was getting away from the streets, murder, and chaos this place brought me. Smiling as I leaned against Jax, I let the soft lulling of the plane put me to sleep and sleep I did, until we touched down in New Zealand. A whole new life.

Posted - 07/12/2004 : 4:52:24 PM The phone went dead, the reciever swung side to side from the table. The man on the bed tilted back his head as a knife traced the underside of his chin, threatening his throat. Glinting in the light, the knife was drawn back. Poised to strike when given the command, the man showed no fear, instead he showed a hunger to end his life there. But two different commands battled in the mind, a command to stay and raise the kids or to go willingly to his fate.
Life or Blood?
"Well, what are you thinking? You digusting peice of filth!" A fist connected with Jace's face, causeing the view to jerk to the left. "Do you think it was funny to hear my daughter's cries? Huh? Do you think it was funny that she was raped?"
"She came... willing, and knowing." Jace said dully, the same fist connected again and Jace tasted the blood from his lip.
"You liar! You ****ing son of a bitch! You lie!" The man howled in rage, however before another fist could land on Jace, the other officer grabbed his mate.
"He's not worth it, Jenna wouldn't want you to fight him. He's not worth the-" "How many nights, you son of a bitch, how many nights did you **** huh? I can't sleep knowing you were there touching her! You sick bastard- I should-"
"You'll do nothing." Came a hard voice from the door way. "The man that raped and killed is dead now. Jace has served us well."
"Betrayer of his own kind-" "Enough! Jace was as much as a victim as he is criminal. Evidense proves that he had no say in his actions. The doctor will be here soon to inject the poison and then that'll do the rest. Just cool it, tonight Jenna's been avenged."
Jace laid in the bed heardly hearing what was being spoken, what did it matter? He was going to die...
Hope. Life. Future. Past. Pain. Burning pain. Blood...
Darkness.
And her,
Emily
She would wait for him. |

Posted - 06/15/2004 : 8:30:44 PM OOC: [[In previous posts, Tanner has left the hospital and has gone off to who knows where. Jax is with the other kids, moving them to a different location. Jace fought his arch rival Jack and is now in the hospital. While in the hospital, he talked to Savannah and sent her back to tell the others that everything was going to be okay. Kae is facing off against Death and Zane alone. Detectives came to the hospital and threatened to kill Jace because of some dark underlying plot. (:P) Jace used his one phone call to call and tell Jax that he was in the hospital, but he was okay and that no one needed to come down. Jace also told to tell Jax that the murderer had been caught, but he wanted everyone back at the house because he was sure there were still those who were going to kill- but they would be killing the wrong guy- and that Jace himself was going to be fine but and then he was cut off. o.O! There.]]
Kaelyn Taiya Aiko
I watched Zane with Death and felt something washing over me. She loved Zane the way I loved Jax. She was protecting him and willing to die, just like I would be willing to die for Jax. I also realized something that was rather important. Zane was in no way shape or form the killer that killed my mother. Yes, he was a killer and yes, he did beat the crap out of me, but he had nothing to do with my mother’s death. It all came back to me like a freight train hitting a car.
“Woah.. Zane, Death I just thought of something. You’re not the killer I am looking for. I’m so sorry for intruding in on you two while you were eh...” Nodding, I dropped my hands down to my side and glanced off to the clock on the wall, noting the time.
“What you two have is something, not many actually find real love. You’re both willing to die for each other and I’m not going to fight either of you. Zane, the other night, that was a good fight and maybe someday in the future we can spar or something. Death, something bad is going down with Jace, I don’t know what but.. I know I can’t tell you what to do but I think it’s best if you stay here where you’re safe. Sorry again..”
With that, I walked out of the house and took off running down the street. The scenes from the past popped into my head and I replayed the meeting with the killer suddenly wondering how I could have gotten Zane and the real killer confused. The real killer was short and gay. A month before I was attacked by Ex and crew, he came to me with his latest boy toy. I didn’t believe him at first until he described her exactly and even showed me a butterfly ring on a chain that he wore around his neck. The only reason I knew he was describing her and that the ring was hers because of the pictures I had of her. Pictures she left in my basinet when she left me. Pictures that randomly appeared addressed to me within the first eight years of my life. After I turned eight, four months before the old lady I was staying with killed herself, the letters stopped. The killer told me that he tortured her before he killed her and that she was only 22 when she died. He ran before I could do anything.
The pocket ringing suddenly brought me out of my trance and I glanced down at it, blinking as I pulled out a cell phone. Jax must have put it in there. Answering it I sighed, listening to Jax as he started spouting off a lot of different things, mainly how happy he was that I was okay. He also said something about Jace calling, saying that someone was going to kill the wrong person.
“Kae! Are you listen’ to me?!” Jax said, frustration underlying his voice.
“Yes.. Jax. Jace is in the hospital, someone is going to kill the wrong person. I’m not coming home until I finish my mission. Stop worrying Jax, I love you but I have to go now, bye!” Blinking, I sort of stared at the phone surprised I said what I said. It felt good to get it over with though.
Speaking of something being over with, I was at the place. It was time to focus and get my revenge. Instead of bothering to knock, I kicked the door in and walked inside. The entire living room was filled with make prostitutes. Growling I pulled out my sword and yelled at them to all go quickly. After the room was cleared, I made my way to the bedroom. I snap-kicked the door open and walked inside just in time to save a young girl that had a knife to her throat. "Well well... Michael, I see your methods haven’t changed one bit. You love the boys but can’t help but torture and kill the girls. You’re pathetic and I despise you. I will kill you for killing my mother and for harming and killing all the others!" I narrowed my eyes and grabbed the girl, ushering her out of the room and out of the house. Watching carefully as Michael got out of the bed, I moved my hand back down to my sword. I was tired of wasting time and I wanted to find Savannah quickly.
Spinning around I slammed the edge of the sword in his leg and ripped it out. Grinning as she screamed out in pain, I grabbed his neck and slammed is face into the mirror on the walls. With a small grunt I pushed him down to the bed and grabbed the bed sheets, using them to tie him to the bedposts. With a sly smile I leaned down on the bed, my knees beside his ribs.
"Poor Michael, I wonder if you are feeling how my mother felt before you killed her you sick bastard!" I yanked down his pants and pulled out one of my daggers, slipping the sword away carefully. I could see the fear in his eyes and without thinking about it, I brutally sliced off his "best friend", making sure to nip off his balls as well. As he screamed in pain and agony, I tossed all loose objects to the side and jabbed the dagger into his side, cutting deep down to his ribs. I slammed my free fist into his ribcage over and over again until I could feel his ribs breaking beneath my fist. I leaned forward and ribbed open his shirt. Gasping I yanked the butterfly ring off the chain around his neck and slipped it into my pocket. Growling, I slapped his face to keep him awake while screaming in his ears "Stay awake!! I want you to feel all of this!!!"
I snapped my fist into his nose with enough force to break it. With a smirk, I slapped his face again and then crawled off the bed, walking into the bathroom. I opened all the doors and after a few minutes found a canister of hairspray and a lighter for the candles in the bathroom. I walked back out of the bathroom and headed back over to Michael.
"Do you ever wonder Michael that if you hadn’t killed my mother, you wouldn’t be lying in pain right now?! Funny hmm? How things work out." I flicked the lighter until there was a flame and held it near his legs. I sprayed the hairspray into the flame and watched as it lit his leg hairs on fire. His screaming and wiggling around trying to get free didn’t phase me. Growling, I did it again and held it on his legs while his screams got louder. After a few seconds, I stopped and threw both objects into the bathroom. I reached back to get my dagger but paused for a second.
I stared blankly as Michael screamed and begged for his life. I could feel myself growing ill and knew someone probably had alerted the cops so I needed to hurry a bit faster. I slid my hand into my pocket and pulled out the watch I had stuck in there previously. I slid my finger into the little flipper thing and yanked the wire out, Michael’s eyes growing bigger. Leaning forward I wrapped the wire around his neck, not pulling yet.
"Goodbye Michael. I won’t miss you, ever. No one will." I yanked the wire, cutting through his neck. Afterwards I cleaned up all my fingerprints then ran out of the house to find Savannah. My revenge was over for the time being. |

Posted - 01/26/2004 : 7:27:01 PM She was so close. She was there. Emily. He could almost see her blue eyes clearly, but the white fog came between them before he could reach for her face. Jace felt like he was falling, falling from the light that should have gotten him beyond Death’s Door. But she had stood there blocking his way, keeping him from crossing over. Her face held the tears that could never be shed in life.
And then Jace understood.
He had to carry on for them, for both of them. It was her hope, their hope.
She had said another thing, “Find the happiness in life that we could have had written in the sands of time.”
And there Jace it let go. In his heart… in his mind… in his soul… Jace let her go so that she could be free.
Now falling into the darkness. Falling from their classic love. Romeo had learned to recover and find hope again while his Juliet remained in the stars forever.
Weak coughs racked the even weaker body of Jace. Computers took care of everything; they gave him blood, water, and food. They gave him the strongest medicine they could, but this did nothing to dull the pain in Jace’s stomach. Ugly black thread proved how bad and how deep the stab that Jack had given him was. Barely breathing because it hurt his chest, Jace turned to see Savannah. She looked like she had been through hell. All the hurt and torn feelings wrapped about her in such layers it was hard to see into what she was thinking.
“Savannah…” Another racking cough took him; fresh waves of pain over took him. It was clear to see how much agony was in his frail body as he struggled to speak.
“…everything… is alright... just like I promised…” hearing the alarms he thought of only those who would fight... and then die in his name...
"Tell them Savannah... Everything is ok."

After he moved past me and outside I walked back inside, slamming the door behind me. I knew that plan was a flop and I stood in the room fuming for a few minutes. I headed back to where my shirt was and as I stood in the mirror, glaring at my reflection I thought about Tanner and how I had let her down.
“Damn me....” I muttered before turning from the mirror.
I grabbed the powder blue lacey bra and slipped it on before pulling the tank top back over my head. I let out another sigh before slipping on my tennis shoes and made my way to the safe to retrieve the weapons I had grabbed before. I slipped the watch that had a 2 1/2 garot wire attached to it into my pants pocket. The ring underneath the watch was attached to the wire giving me easy access to it. I slipped on the two ankle sheathes and once again dropped a dagger into each sheathe. I then fastened another sheathe around my left thigh just to the side of the sheathe of my sword. I dropped a dagger down into that sheathe as well for easy access. I grabbed the gun holster, slipping it over my shoulders. I slipped in a Browning 9mm into the holster, letting it lay beneath my left arm near my ribs. I slipped another waist holster on my right side slipping in an 85 FS Cheetah into it, fastening a magazine to the side of the holster. I slid a sheathe onto my back, slipping in a sword with a dragon design on the hilt, a crystal connecting the blade and the hilt. Once that was done I slipped my jacket on before finishing grabbing the rest of my weapons. I pulled out the sword sheath, threading it through the belt buckle of my running pants, fastening it tightly against my stomach. I slipped in a double-edged sword I nick named the Solar Morning star into the sheathe grinning. The expandable aluminum baton was slid into my jacket pocket moments before I slid the black octagon Sai(s) into both sleeves of my jacket.
“Savannah?!” I called as I ran to the room I had last left her in. I spotted the open window and sighed softly. I knew this was a bad idea but... I had hoped she would have rested. Sighing, I walked out of the house, locking it up behind me before walking down the sidewalk.
I wasn’t sure where to go but... I knew what I needed to do. Without anymore hesitations I headed down the street towards Zane’s place. He was the man from the bar the other night and I was going to rip out his spleen and shove it down his missing throat. Or something like that. I could hear talk among the street kids and it was all about the deaths of Ex, Jagger, and Gunz. I couldn’t help but smirk. After tonight Zane would be dead and then the kids would be safe again, safe from bullies that tried to hurt them. Semi safe.. I knew they would never be completely safe, but safe enough for the time being.
I stepped up to the door and smirked before knocking. It was only a matter of time.. then I would make Zane sorry he ever got near me. I hoped Savannah was okay as much as I hoped Tanner was okay. Jace had to be okay too... everything had to be okay. Even if I died tonight, I wanted to die knowing everything was okay for those I held close in my heart. |

I looked up as a bed was wheeled past. "Savannah?" I asked, slowly. "Then who..." I caught sight of the man on the hospital bed and choked. "Jace! Oh my God! Jace!" I scrambled from the bed and ran out into the hall, paying no attention to my hospital gown as I ran up to Savannah.
"What happened?!" I remembered flashes of what had happened to me...remembered Jace's promise. And as he was wheeled away into the ER, I made my decision...
A quarter of an hour later, alarms sounded....
A patient had left the hospital without being released. |

I was tired of waiting. I had been told to wait in a room and now I was just bored. I felt caged and I hated that feeling. I hated being stuck in one spot. It was true that I needed to be resting more than anything else but that just wasn't what I needed right then. I couldn't handle it. I would rather have died then been stuck in a room for any more time.
The might have been the reason that I was half way out the window.
The night air was getting colder and it sent shivers up and down my spine as I made my way around the side of the house to take off. I hated leaving my friend there with that guy, Because I had wanted to help her but all I really wanted right then was to go anywhere and find an adventure of my own. That was exactally what I was going to do too.
I smile a bit.
Then coughed a lot, cold air always did that to me though. It sucked and I hated it but it didn't stop me from going anywhere. You could say I was a little stuborn when I wasn't unconsiouse and sleeping in the bed Jace had let me use.
Jace who had become so distant. He hardly spoke anymore it was as if something was going on inside his head that was making him nervouse. Jace wasn't scared of anything though, As far as I had seen. Yet he seemed pretty damn pre-occupied these days. As if something was constantly on his case making his life harder.
Thing was, Worrying about jace had driven my thoughts so deeply that as I looked around..I realized I was lost.. Not just a little either, I was very lost. As my heart beat shot up I began coughing harder. Barely able to breath. My knees buckled under me as I hit the ground harshly, Vomiting and shaking. I was a mess, I was cold, And to make everything better it had begun to rain. I crawled into the alley way huddling into a ball next to a dumpster, Tears were flowing from my eyes and all I wanted was to have Jace close to me. He was what always made me stronger and made me feel better.
I hated being lost, I hated being alone and the sight of the church just made me angry. I wasn't sure of why but I felt as if God had abonded me. Left me here to die alone, and he chose to rub it in my face.
Those were my thoughts anyways, As I watched a man come crashing out of the glass window of the damn building. It seemed the God had no mercy on him either.
With a thud he landed on the dumpster and as he hit there was a loud crack as if something had broken within him. As the man slid off the dumpster lid I saw his face.
Jace. And from him sprang the rivers of blood that mingled with the rain.
"Oh..J-J-Jace... " I crawled over to him as my body began to do what I wanted it to. The coughing lessened as I reached his side, Checking instantly for a pulse. There was one, Light, Faint, Hardly even there but it was there none the less.
"You have to live... You just have to.." I said quietly as I ran my palm through his hair to try and slick it back before I got to my feet.
"I'll be right back Jace.. I..I will find you help.. " My feet moved out into the main street as I looked around through the rain. Yelling, Praying that someone could help. Yet I didn't see anyone, I heard sirens that had been moving through the city. Yet where they were headed I couldn't say.
For moments on end I screamed for help. That someone come.
Yet it was only as I started to walk back in to the alley towards Jace, That I heard the man's voice. I watched as he went ahead of me kneeling by my fallen friend. Jace was hurt badly, Wounded, Bleeding, And in pain. There was little I could do. Yet I would be by his side. As he was lifted and put onto a gurney everything quieted, Nothing seemed real anymore. Nothing had since Jace had fallen.
I followed him though, Getting into the ambulence next to him. Taking his right hand in mine as I watched him.
All I wanted, All I cared about and prayed for, was that my friend, That Jace, Would survive through the night. Course, That would be up to him in the end, How much will he had to live......

Darkness gave way to light, which in turn gave way to darkness once more. I couldn't find a center. Couldn't find my way out of the endless night. Voices called to me... "Excuse me Miss..." Where was I?
It all came rushing back...almost as quickly as the shapes formed around me and the light poured through to my pained eyes. With a groan, I struggled to sit up. Pain assaulted my every movement, but I wasn't giving in just yet.
"Water..." My voice was hoarse and guttral, even to my own ears. Shapes rushed to acquit me with my need, and when the refreshing liquid was down and I was certain that it wouldn't be returning, I focused on focusing my eyes.
"I can't see..."
"You were in a coma for some time, miss...it'll be a bit before you regain your sight. Just lie still until it does...wouldn't want you to tear out your stitches or start your bleeding again, would we?"
"...My baby?"
"I'm sorry, miss. We couldn't save your child." I should feel sorry. I should be sad.
I'm not.
"The man who did this?"
"There's no word. None on the young lady who identified you, either. Kaelyn Something?"
I should be afraid. I should want to stay here.
I don't.
I heard him explain some things, but they were lost in the confused mesh of my thoughts. No word on him.
I just wanted to go back where it was dark.
I just wanted to go back where it was safe.
But I had things to do, first. |

Posted - 11/10/2003 : 8:43:28 PM Jace drew out his blade from the backpack. There was a steely hiss from the blade as it was pulled out from the sheath. The distance dull roar of thunder set the stage and the crack of lighting sounded the seconds ticking down. Jace pulled out a desert eagle and unloaded all but one bullet. The ring of bullets, still encased by its golden shells, hit the floor echoed as Jack did the same. They would fight on the same grounds that had been taught and learned. By teacher, by student.
One bullet, one blade, and the dozens of lives that would go on or stop with this battle's final end, and those fates were riding on Jace and Jack. The gun sword match would begin.
Jack kissed the girl in the black as she planted a rose into his breast pocket. The flowing girl in white descended down the steps to him. She pinned a white rose into his trench coat. The girl in white locked eyes only for a moment, what he saw was fear. With a gentle hand he brushed away a tear as she placed the traditional kiss on his cheek.
Jace looked up and watched as his master, teacher, father, and friend descended down to his level.
And there in the dark church it began.
A charge, a ringing clash of blades and the threats of both men could be heard. Whisperings from the cult grew as the two fought, sweat from watching the fight was nothing to the blood that was being shed.
A slash at the shoulder, a block at an advancing blade and the reminder of a gun that could be fired at any time; these were the things that were running across Jace's mind as he fought Jack with everything he had. He landed small blows and nicks as he tried to match his teacher's skills. But the problem was that Jack had been fighting for as long as Jace had been alive and half again. The grin on the wild man's face was unbearable. They moved up the stairs, or rather Jack drove his former son up them.
The hooked knife that the wild preacher held had already tasted blood and was calling out for more as he sunk it into Jace's forearm. Jace took the chance to land a sharp blow to Jack's face. It gave him time to climb the rest of the stairs. Swaying dangerously and panting heavily from the wounds the knife had given him Jace stood with his sword at an angle.
Open to a sharp downward blow the sword was knocked away, Jack saw his chance. The knife was in, out and deep before the blood had a chance to flow. Jace doubled over and felt hot blood spill out onto his hands that were trying to keep his insides from spilling out.
A cold touch of a gun... Jace clung to it...
"A gun for a pitiful weakling like you? I won't waste the bullet..." Jack said smoothly looking at his own gun and tossing it away. He had assumed that Jace had given up.
"Why don't you give me my wings, Father? ... Consider it your last duty to your son." Jace managed to spill the words before the taste of blood filled his mouth and the pain in the back of his head from hitting glass.
"How dare you! Son?! You're nothing more then a bastard street urchin! The same filth still clings to you as when the first time I saw you."
Unclean.
Backed up against the stained glass, Jace was trying to clear his head to get a shot. Sirens... Were they really there?
"Master! The sirens! They're coming closer!!" Jack snarled at them and then his hands shot out at Jace before the young man could react. The old man's hands were still strong and filled with the same iron grip as they had always been. The rose that was now limp from Jace's blood fell to the ground and its petals scattered.
Their eyes met and something changed...
Bang.
A loud crash and falling glass...
A sole figure stood in the frame watching the other fall down to the ally below.
A soft laugh was heard before the figure drowned in his blood...
Death
And the rain fell in sheets.
Falling... BANG! was the sound as the man hit the dumpster and all feeling was lost below the waist.
Barely alive. |

As I moved towards the door, she moved behind me, a few seconds later she moved in front of me, half naked and yelled. “Hey wait! You’re right. I’m sorry we can play a different game!”
Maybe it was her yelling as so close a range, maybe it was her voice, the tone of it. It surely wan't playful, it wasn't happy. It almost desperate. But what really drove it home was her eyes.
I'd seen eyes like those before, a guy in lock-up had them. He was called the preacher and was delusional. He was known for walking around with a bible in one hand and a shank in the other. He preached the holy word and was ready to send anyone who didn't care to listen to hell. This woman's eyes had that faint far away look. It was a look of intensity, need and self rightousness.
I'd long ago stopped being scared by mankind and his madnesses. But somethings still turned my stomach. Now realizing how much my own need for companionship had ruled me, I was disgusted. Perhaps more with myself than her. Still, I felt betrayed at the thought.
Looking into her eyes, I smiled softly and said, "No ma'am. No games. I'm sorry, I think we both just made a mistake, and we both might have been close to making another." "I'm leaving and hoping some time in the future, we can meet under other circumstances. Be good, Be safe."
I bowed only slightly from the head, and moved past her towards the door. It opened easily in my hand and the cool night air rolled in the door. Voices and the sound of cars from the street wafted over me. Silence assailed me from behind.

Instead of sitting down in the chair like I expected him to, he picked up his pack and grabbed his clothes. Frowning I watched as he first slipped into his pants, and then into his shirt. I didn’t know what went wrong, I couldn’t understand it. I was attractive and everything and I had never been turned down before, not when I really wanted a guy. Who did this guy think he was, turning down my offer. Damn him, I wasn’t going to let this go this easily.
I tuned him out for the most part while he talked. I was far too furious to listen and felt my fists clenching down at my sides. It didn’t help that I was still fairly drunk and wasn’t completely in control of my actions. I had to count to over 30 before I could glance over towards him. I noticed that he already had his shoes on and was standing up.
"So, it'd be kind of you to understand," Justin said as he picked up the backpack and my bottle before continuing, "if I didn't show a desire to play games. A man thats been unjustly locked up for near 10 years, just is not interested in being tied up further."
I had to bite down on my lip at his unjustly comment. I knew what he did to Tanner and I was almost positive that he had done that to other girls. I knew what had to be done but I had to think of another way to get him into the chair. It wouldn’t be easy but I knew I could do it. I had to do it. I had many different ideas of what to do to him running through my head. I couldn’t stop now. I wanted to.... no, I needed to revenge Tanner.
"So," I nodded and waved, "I'll say thanks for the shower, the kindness of the view, and the fantasies you've sprung up in my mind." "But no thanks to the ties, cuffs, cells. Good night miss." With that he walked towards the front door.
I knew I had to act quickly so that I didn’t lose him. I wasn’t going to let him get away with hurting anyone else. No way! I glanced around trying to figure out the easiest way to get him back into the room. Finally I grabbed my shirt and bra and took them both off quickly and ran after him. I could feel the Browning still in the back of my pants and I was rather glad for that. It was about to come in handy.
“Hey wait! You’re right. I’m sorry we can play a different game!” I yelled before stepping in front of him, perfectly aware of my upper body nudeness, hoping it was enough to draw him back away from the door. If not I had a plan B. Either way, he wasn’t leaving until I said he was going to leave. |

Following her comment, I looked at the chair, the remaining bottle of tequila sitting on the floor near it.
It was her whispers that came next that sounded deep within my soul.
“The game I’d like to play involves you being tied up and helpless for a little while,” she whispered in my ear. “And if you’re a good boy, you’re going to get a reward.”
I looked at her and smiled softly. "Oh My God, how many men must dream of such. Slowly I moved towards the chair stopping first at my pack and scooped up my cloths.
"You know," I said softly pulling on my pants. "There must be a hundred thousand guys in this city alone, whose mouth would water, knees would weaken at such an offer." Smiling softly at her, I continued while pulling on my shrt. "Thing is, no one I know that just spent a decade in lock up, would probably find it that exciting of a deal." "Don't get me wrong" I said finishing with my shoes, "I'm not saying I'm a saint or even a good man, nor am I evil or the devil incarnate." "I'm nothing but a man walking the path of life God put in front of me. While I surely don't forgive easily, neither do I beg it from others. Not for me, nor for what society sees in me."
"So, it'd be kind of you to understand," I said as I picked up the backpack and the bottle, "if I didn't show a desire to play games. A man thats been unjustly locked up for near 10 years, just is not interested in being tied up further."
"So," I nodded and waved, "I'll say thanks for the shower, the kindness of the view, and the fantasies you've sprung up in my mind." "But no thanks to the ties, cuffs, cells. Good night miss."
And I turned and walked back to the front door and towards the night air.
Suddenly, the air in here, didn't smell quite so sweet.

"It is you that really ends..." the smooth deep voice of Jack was soothing and soft now that he was in his comfort zone. Jace felt every pull on his heartstrings to some how forgive the man that raised him. Closing his eyes tightly and opening them for a moment Jace saw that the organ play was over...
Every where I look I turn and it seems you are not there Everyone I meet I learn- but they cannot compare Everything I see I do I touch I think of you
Jack was on his feet, aiming a gun straight at Jace's heart. Something hidden in the eyes of that crazy man was a spark of hope, within the twisted confines of his mind he saw something that Jace himself could not.
Every little thing in life leaves me so confused Everything was so so clear before we tore apart
"You were a good son... I expected you to carry on... but you decided to love that b*tch, so instead of killing her and doing your duty, I killed her hoping you would come to your senses.. But instead you run away... like the coward you hide from me... Jason... Why?"
Now all my passions trapped inside this lonely broken heart
"Why does the blood of innocents have to run? Why do they always bleed and scream?" But before Jack could answer Jace's question a voice rang out across the church.
"Master! Master! We have come!" Jace didn't have to turn around to know what was going on. He heard the low murmers that were growing in the room. He could here them talking about him, they knew of him then, it wasn't suprising. Jace wasn't impressed as two women appeared at Jack's side.
One white in white
So if you ask If you must know I'll tell you Here's the truth
One in black.
If you ask If you must know I wouldn't lie to you
"Servants of the lord..." Jace muttered him himself as he watched the young girls who couldn't have been any more then seventeen go and give their master a kiss and then allow his hands to travel over their young bodies. They were completely submissive to his hands and allowed him access to their treasures.
If you ask if you must know I'll tell you Here's the truth Do I love you? Love you still? The truth is I do
Jace couldn't bear to watch another moment. Emily... Her blood had been spilled on the church floor since it wasn't fit enough to be spilled on the alter of his Heaven.
"You still think of her often don't you?" Jack soft softly as he watched Jace carefully. "Don't be suprised... I raised you in the Light... I know you better then you know yourself...You can have them if you wish Jason... I can be forgiving... But in order for you to earn that forgiveness you will do what you could not do before... You will take their maiden hood and give them their angle wings... Come on... It'll be just like everything before you left..."
Without you here The sky turned a new shade of clear A new rein of tears and with out you here my body is a lonely frontier
Desire... Hunger... Temptation... Jace felt the eyes of Jack's followers on him alone... Past or the future? An ocean of fears
Will you throw away the life of a friend for this? Would you make the loss of a bade worth nothing? Who were you? Who was I? The questions rang in his head.
If you ask If you must know I wouldn't lie to you
No more lying... He didn't belong here. This place wasn't his anymore and the former fighter planned on making sure that not another life was taken.
If you ask if you must know I'll tell you Here's the truth Do I love you? Love you still? The truth is I do
"I will fight you... because I refuse to serve a Lord that murders his own for the blood you take."
Gasps and murmers could be heard as he said the words...
"So be it... you had your chance..."

A small smirk crossed my face as he walked into the room. I wasn’t going to give away what I was about to do, but I was beginning to get clear headed which meant, no holding back. Calmly, I ran my hand through my wet hair, pushing it back away from my face and over my shoulders. If I would have thought of it, I would have tied it up, but I didn’t. Now came the hard part. How to play hard ball without letting him know my plans.
"What up?" Justin asked quietly after he walked into the room. I could tell he was confused about something. Guess I should have kept nude just a bit more. Oh well.
“Well.. I’d like to play a real quick game before we did anything else. The tequila bottle is beside the chair.” I pointed with my hand towards it while keeping my eyes on his face. I wanted to see his expression and didn’t dare glance down.
I began walking over to him, to sort of nudge him towards the chair. If my plan worked, I could get him to sit still long enough for me to die him to the bed. Glancing at the carpet I realized it would cost a ton to get it clean of the blood but it would defiantly be worth it. Slowly I ran my fingers across his chest as well as across his cheek. Get him in the mood, then tie him up. That was the plan at the moment. I repeated it in my head a couple of times before touching his face again.
“The game I’d like to play involves you being tied up and helpless for a little while,” I whispered into his ear. “And if you’re a good boy, you’re going to get a reward.”
I leaned forward, kissing him gently on the lips before grasping his bottom lip with my teeth and gently bit it. I coaxed him a little bit more my pressing my body against his, rubbing up against him before stepping away. I was going to make him pay for everything he did. I just had to wait until he was tied up and unable to get away or do anything back to me. It was just a matter of time.. |

“As soon as you’re ready I have a game I’d like to play with you, ok Justin?” she called out to me...
"Sure thing." I called out, grabbing a towel from the cabinet under the sink. I dried off quickly and headed for the other room the towel drapped around my waist.
I can't say I really wondered what she had in mind, I was toasted and my mind was filled of the things a man's mind contemplates when he has not been with a woman in years, and a nearly naked women calls to him.
I walked into her room to see her dressed in her powder blue shorts and shirt. It was perplexing and a surprise to be sure.
"What up?" I asked quietly, thinking this didn't make any sense. |

He finished washing up and rinsed off his body before stepping out of the line of water. I moved back into the line of water as he soaped up the lufa Jax always kept in the shower for me. It was the perfect pampering thing and I actually missed using it. If I was being honest with myself I could explain why I stood there and let him scrub me with the lufa.
He lathered soap first on my arms then my shoulders and back. I could feel it gently scratching across my back as he made his way across every inch of my back. I felt him washing my ribs and then my stomach before his hands slid up and washed around my breasts, making sure they were lathered completely. He paused just long enough to re-soap the lufa before kneeling and scrubbing my thighs and butt. With perfect pampering he washed behind my knees as well as my entire leg. I glanced down at him and then raised my head and took another drink of the tequila.
Ever since I was a little child I always loved going to the beauty pallor just because of when they did the hair washing. It was my favorite time because I always felt relaxed afterwards. So, when he started to wash my hair I felt like I was back in the beauty pallor getting my hair done. I sort of drifted back into that time and didn't come back to reality until he was done. It took me a few minutes to realize he used conditioner as well. Good stuff that conditioner, sure makes my hair smooth and silky. I stepped out of the line of the shower and glanced at him. I suddenly felt very naked there holding the tequila bottle and I felt my face growing hot and flushed.
He had grabbed the shampoo bottle again, obviously needing to wash his own hair. Finally he spoke for the first time since I had stepped into the shower. "Give me a sec to wash my own and I'll be done"
Nodding I stumbled out of the shower and grabbed a towel from the cabinet beside the sink. I worked at drying my hair off before wiping the water off the rest of my body, drying each section slowly to be sure I picked up each drop of water. For some reason I was getting nervous and I knew it was time to do something. I couldn't just keep pulling him along, it was making me sick to my stomach.. either that or the tequila was.
"I'm just going to get some clothes on in the bedroom. There are towels in the cabinet beside the sink, help yourself." With that I leaned down and grabbed the gun from beneath my bra and panties. I made my way to the bedroom and set the gun down beneath my pants. Once I was sure the gun was secure I made my way to the closet and pulled out one of the extra sets of clothing I kept there for emergencies. I laid the clothes on the bed and frowned for a minute. I really didn't want to get blood on my clothes but I also didn't want to do what I was going to do nude.
"Meh.... damn it." I grumbled finally slipping on a pair of powder blue lacey panties that matched a powder blue lacey bra. Over the panties I slipped on a pair of powder blue running pants identical to the black pair I had on earlier. Over the bra I slipped on a powder blue tank top and called it good. Glancing to make sure all was clear I grabbed the gun from beneath my black pants and put it in the waistband of my pants, near the back where I could still grab it but keeping it hidden. Luckily my tank top was long and baggy and that helped cover the gun up.
I wasn’t sure how but I knew I had to get him in that chair. I wasn’t going to kill him yet, but I had the gun incase he tried something on me. I sat the tequila bottle down by the chair and walked over to the desk. I sort of leaned up against the desk letting my butt rest on it. It was time for action and I felt energized and renewed. After I was done with him, Savannah and I were going to see how Tanner was doing, then I was going after the man from the bar last night. I really didn’t want to put Savannah into danger but it was probably safer to keep her with me. Especially after I got done here tonight and word got around that Ex, Jagger, and Gunz were killed. I knew that I didn’t want to go back to living on the streets, but I would do whatever I had to just to keep the neighborhood safe for kids that weren’t as fortunate as I was.
